WHAT IS SODASTREAM?

SodaStream is an Israeli corporation that produces home water carbonation devices, marketed as environmentally responsible alternatives to bottled soda. SodaStream’s international distribution and sales have grown dramatically in the last 5 years, with US sales reaching $40 million in 2011. Sodastream’s main production plant is located on “confiscated” Palestinian land.

WHY BOYCOTT?

SodaStream profits from the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land:

• In violation of international law, Sodastream’s main production plant is located on confiscated Palestinian farmland, receiving generous tax incentives from the Israeli and local government to be there.

•SodaStream’s largely Palestinian workforce is not protected by the same rights as workers in Israel.

•SodaStream strengthens the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.
